Volunteer Descriptions

Timers
Times and records times for all home and away meets and is our biggest committee. 

Concessions
Runs the concession stand at all home events, provides refreshments for timers and coaches. This generates the income for our team to purchase equipment and incidentals throughout the season. 

Ribbons
Labels, sorts and files all the children's ribbons at all meets. 

Set-up/Take-down & Parking
Prepares the pool and ready area for home swim meets, cleans up and puts away equipment following the meets and supervises parking detail.

Team Area (Bull Pen)
Hosts a ready area for each age group at home and away meets, makes sure children stay in the designated groups.

Social Events
Plans for all parties, pep rallies, and the end of the year awards banquet.

Computer
Runs the HyTech and Meet Manager software during the home and away swim meets.

Stroke and Turn Judge
Provides stroke and turn officials for home and away meets. Must have some swimming knowledge and attend necessary training class.

Relay Runner
Organizes relays in the team area and makes sure they arrive to the staging area in the correct order.

Staging
Has total command of getting kids "staged" in the swim block area and is the last contact prior to going off the swim blocks.

Runner
Comes behind the timers after each event to retrieve the time cards and gets them to the scoring table (computer)  

NOTE:  Registration is not complete until parents have signed up to volunteer in one of these areas.  All swimmers will be required to have one parent volunteer on deck at all times.
